Scope

This policy covers statesalary.com. It explains what information is collected when you visit the site, how it is used and your choices.

Information we collect

We do not have accounts or contact forms and do not ask for personal information to use the site. The take-home pay calculator runs entirely in your browser; the figures you type are not sent to us.

When you visit a page, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data — IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type and referring URL — to deliver the page, keep the service secure and diagnose errors.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they arrived. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and collects information about your device, browser, approximate location (derived from your IP address) and the pages you view. We use this information only in aggregate to improve the site. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; see also how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Advertising

The site does not currently display advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated before ads are shown.

Cookies

Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, StateSalary does not set cookies for tracking or personalization.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade visitor data. Information is shared only with the service providers described above (hosting/CDN and analytics) to operate the site.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under the GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete information about you and to object to certain processing. Because we do not hold identifiable visitor records ourselves, most requests concern Google Analytics data; email privacy@statesalary.com and we will help.

We update this policy when the site’s practices change. The “last updated” date above shows the current version.
